Program Description:

Includes a broad range of participating universities between the Wisconsin System and institutions in Hessen.

Hessen Exchange in Germany

This exchange is a broad consortium between the University of Wisconsin System and institutions of higher learning in Germany.  There are many universities that might interest you (Geissen, Fulda, Frankfurt, Marburg and Kassel) with specialties such as agriculture, internships, economics, politics, cultural studies, and science, to name a few!

There are three components to this educational program: Total Immersion (all German, 3.0 GPA and total fluency, junior standing), Hybrid (some classes in German but you need to have taken at least 4 semesters of German, 2.5 GPA) and Total English (in the summer, 2.5 GPA). The classes are in the advanced level.  Internships are available for qualified students.  As a bonus, you will get a free rail pass!

International Summer University (ISU)

The Hessen International Summer University ISU is a four-week summer study program which offers bilingual course units in English as well as in German on current European and German topics such as economics, politics, society, culture and science.
